There are 11 failed pre-need companies that continue to be under the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) despite the transfer of the supervision of pre-need companies in the Philippines from the SEC to the Insurance Commission in 2010. This is according to information published by the Insurance Commission on its website in March 2012.

These 11 pre-need companies under SEC as of March 2012 are the following:

1. All Asia Plans Corp. -- Education, pension
2. Legacy Consolidated Plans Inc. -- Education, life, pension
3. Scholarship Plan Phils Inc. -- Education
4. Asian Diamond Plans Inc. -- Education, life, pension
5. Family Plans Inc.
6. GEI Guaranteed Education Inc. -- Education
7. OCE Plans Inc. -- Education, pension
8. Success Education Guarantee System Inc. -- Education
9. University Plans Inc.
10. Metropolitan Life Plan Inc.
11. Millennium Plans In.

I presume that the SEC and the IC decided not to transfer the handling of these 11 pre-need companies to the IC because the SEC had already started certain processes affecting these pre-need firms and their planholders.
